Welcome Back: A New Season
I have been quiet here for a while. Not because I stopped caring about writing, but because life got loud in all the ways that pull your attention away from words.
From September through December, we were at the tail end of a fostering application and also moving home. It was a season of forms, packing, phone calls, decisions, continuing family drama and logistics layered on top of a full-time workload. The energy was low, the weeks were full, and blogging fell to the bottom of the list.
But God was kind through it all. He kept His promises, and the work we persevered through has led us into something new. I am writing this from a lovely new home, and we now have a young person living with us. It feels like a quiet culmination of a long stretch of faith and effort.
January 2026 marks a new start for us. Not a dramatic one, but a steady one. A new season where I can begin to settle, rebuild some rhythm, and grow again.
What This Means for the Blog
I want this space to be simple and useful. Less performance, more practice. Less pressure, more honesty. A place to capture what I am learning and what I am building, even if those things are still small.
Here is the direction I am aiming for this year:
- Short reflections on life and work, especially when the lessons are still fresh.
- Practical notes from building in .NET, cloud, AI tooling and of course Lego!.
- Small experiments and personal tools as I find my feet again.
I am not chasing a perfect cadence. I just want to keep showing up and telling the truth of the season I am in.
Thanks for being here, and welcome back with me.
